As you grow older you mature, and with each new level of maturity come different ideas, different needs and wants. The person who was perfect for you at 25 could be the person you hate when you're 35. You have to find someone who will grow with you, change with you, laugh with you, and cry with you. A person who fills in where you lack, a person whom you can fill in for where they are lacking. But what about the perfect person, you ask? They do not exist. There are no perfect people, only people who are perfect for each other. You deserve to be happy not in the arms of someone who keeps you waiting but in the arms of someone who will take you now, love you forever and leave you never.

havent been updating lately, hello schoolwork, quizzes, long tests, and homework.. and yes, its only the first week of July. so... how many more months till sembreak?

paging karla, ree, timmy: I VOTE WE BEACH. SOON. pleeeeeeeeeease. sis, i have three bikinis that i havent worn and camwhored in yet hahahaha... sayang naman!

school has been way stressful, but it definitely hasnt been boring. in one of my psych majors, we learned ways to tell if someone is lying. SUPER USEFUL, promise. plus, its so accurate! we tried it out and it worked. so, yun na. haha. no more mr. nice guy JOKE.

i promised myself that once the school year started, i'd try to gain back the weight i lost over the summer. uhhhhh....not happening. aside from the fact that i've running around, i've also been lugging around my abnormal psych book which weighs around 8lbs. NO KIDDING. im not exaggerating ha, its really, EXTREMELY heavy. its a good thing to have around when youre being mugged, or attacked, or someone you hate passes by. i swear, if that book falls on my foot, my toenail/s would probably die. SERIOUSLY.

there was another catfight on campus last monday, this time even more physical than the last. and yes, the two girls fighting were freshmen. my prof's theory is they fought over a boy. ohgoshhowpathetic. im sorry, but i think thats where you really see how a person was brought up. i mean, there are people that resort to name-calling, making parinig, etc when theyre pissed at someone and there are also those who get into fistfights slash all that sabunutan drama... pfffft. there were MILLIONS of times during the summer that i wanted to curse, hit, make sugod, and assasinate certain people, but hello naman. self control noh. haha i was brought up with breeding.

(part2 of my looooooooong update)

yes, im back. and raring to make kuwento its funny but just a few days (weeks?) away from my journal and already, so much has happened! okay, so they're all just little stuff but yeah. there. haha :D

i remember mentioning in a previous entry that ym brings people closer together. i cant count the times when i've chatted and conferenced with my closest friends, and unloaded stuff. true, its a lot less emotional because hello naman, how can you convey stuff like anger over instant messages right? but still, just talking to them seems to make things easier.

anyway a few days ago, out of nowhere, my days mom started messaging me and asking how i was, what i plan to do after graduation, etc. and as much as i appreciated it, of course i still feel a bit.. numb-slash-indifferent-slash-distant when it comes to the topic of my days rectors. i guess its just because i never felt like they were really into us kids. haha, ang drama but its true. i mean, its not naman required that you check up on your kids and try to be involved in their lives, but even just to make paramdam once in a while, they cant do. if only for that reason, i always make sure to text my kids and also remind them of birthdays and anniversaries. i dont think i'd ever forgive myself if i found out that even just one of them feel the same way i do (with regards to my days parents nga).

thank Jess for alex talaga. she's not my days mommy, she's cholo's, but she always ALWAYS makes it a point to make me feel loved and special. she texts out of the blue to invite us to go out with her and i'll always be grateful that she went out of her way to be there for truelight7. grabe, buti nalang we met her. and buti nalang cholo joined her batch!

speaking of days, the 28th batch of acollege dwtl was last weekend. ang saraaaaaaaaaap, super, to go back to your community after not staffing for the past few batches. it was so nakakaguilty that i dont know na the new staffers, and i'd have to ask the older ones who they were and be introduced to them, but at the same time it was nice to see that the community is growing. galing. and that things have stayed, more or less, the same. i miss staffing for acoll, and all the kalokohans that go with it. its a different atmosphere talaga when the dwtl community is school-based. and i missed debbie, bans, darl, and everyone else who used to be there! memories... anyway, saturday morning was good despite whatever negative feedback we got from uninvolved parties. pffffft. the drama. never talaga nawawala noh? whatever days community you go to..

awwww, im proud of donna and icy basta kayo! love you guys :D

sunday was the much-awaited (at least for me) shopping day with my momma. ahem, that mikko decided to horn in on. and yes, he got more stuff than i did. but oh well, i got lotsa pairs of shorts and a new top!! happy, HAPPY tums. happier if i get the stuff i want on my birthday crossing my fingers!

my truelight7 babies are the cutest.. it was our days monthsary last july3, and they were the ones pa who remembered! cuties and their messages never fail to make me smile. picker-uppers in a HUGE way. suhweet.

i dont know if i already mentioned this, but one of my subjects this semester is marriage & family life. which is a cushy subject if you ask me, considering we dont memorize stuff, we're not tested on objective concepts, and we dont have a textbook (or notes even). i just realized though that one of the reasons why we're even taking up the subject is because in a few years, we'll be deciding who to marry, and at what age to settle down and have kids, etc. SCARY. is anyone of us ACTUALLY ready to make decisions like that?

the wacky thing is, one of my friends is already actually planning her wedding. as in, the exact venue and the details. and when we were talking about it, i realized that oh my god, we're college seniors. and there are those who get married right after college. ummmm SCARY. haha, okay i dont know if im making any sense at all, but it was just a scary realization..

oh my gosh, do you guys remember the time when we were sooooo interested in finding out who the candy cuties for the year were? i remember being in the 3-2 classroom, and we were all swooning at the guys in the magazine, plus cringing coz there were people in it that we actually were friends with in real life haha.. anyway, i saw the website and some of the candy cuties for this year are: franco (gel's brother!), jarren (ahem ahem tims and ree ahem ahem), victor basa (cousin ko iyan!), and mike lamar (hahahahaha). does anyone know who comes up with the list of candy cuties? coz some of them are not cuties AT ALL.

as a result of boredom, another thing i've been doing some of (not a lot, i dont have time eh) is multiply blog reading. and album hopping as well. its hilarious sometimes, what people come up with. especially people you know, coz sometimes how they speak in person is the TOTAL opposite of how they blog/comment/write captions. cholo always tells me that he doesnt understand why i still religiously visit these certain people's sites, if i find them extremely irritating and downright dumb. annoying as they are though, i enjoy reading them. its ENTERTAINING for me. especially those who speak.. ehem basta yun. THE BEST talaga. and the grammar! my god! it seems like everywhere around us, there are people who just CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH. or they can, but they dont speak it WELL. there's a huge difference. so please, for your sake (and for ours), write nalang in the language that youre knowledgable in. okay? okay!

i'd copy and paste a sample here, but then i'd have angry people commenting.. pfffft. wahahaha.

basta the best journal entries / photo captions talaga (that never fail to crack me up) are of :  b.u.s, stirrer, and loca. figure it out. the funny thing pa is, theyre all connected. talk about birds of the same feather... better stay away, ugly personalities and poor communication skills are contagious! hahaha

can i just share, i had THE BEST night with my girls

we were complete! vicky was there pa, plus the boys as well .. and aside from surprising bianx on her 21st birthday, it was also sort of like a mini-reunion of sorts, especially since  EVERYONE's schedule is always full.

christine was right, we only do get together christmas time and summer. basta the times when bianca's home. haha bad bad. no effort, guys! tsk tsk.. promise, i'll make you all kulit more to go out :D

i loooooooooove you guys. i love our high school reminiscing moments, complete with people we cant remember for some reason. i love how we have a language only we can understand, and how christine's reactions to everything, immediately cracks us all up. i love how we can just sit and be quiet and be OKAY. i love how you all tease me for being camwhore-y, but you run for pictures anyway. i love how we can bash, diss and discuss ex-boys. haha. oh, and of course, how we can just talk about ANYTHING. awwwwww i love you guys nothing/no one compares to highschool friends. yeeeeaaaaaah, next saturday again!

been having a pretty good couple of days.. which has done great things for my over-all disposition and outlook on life. plus cholo and i are reading the purpose driven life together, and its been helpful.. especially since we're celebrating 3 years soon. whoa. thats a preeeetty long time to be together.

and im turning 21! casino/gambling, anyone? im game

im not really picky with clothes or anything, but it seems like EVERYTIME i need an outfit for an event (and i have a clear picture in my head of what exact look i want), i can never seem to find it. in any store, in any mall. daym... hassle noh? like now, im looking for something to wear for my birthday/birthday party and im coming up with... NOTHING.

oh well. i still have around two weeks left. so yeah, keeping my fingers crossed

i have a new favorite show!!! DANCELIFE on mtv, 5pm sundays. watch it guys!!! OHMYGOSHGALINGIWANNADANCELIKERIGHTNOWNA. i just dont really like j.lo... but the dancers? WOW WOW WOW WOW. theyre all hiphop and break dancers, plus they all seem like they have backgrounds in ballet pa! their grand jetes, splits, pirouettes and fouettes are SOOOOOOOOOOOO nakakainggit. pfffftftftftf.

WHOATIMEFLIESBYSOOOOOOFAST. this is how i realized that i really am a college senior na. two words. GRADUATION PICTURES. hahahaha i can honestly remember the day when i was taking my highschool grad pic.. and i was only 17 then! next week, im turning 21! oh god. things are happening toooooo faaaaaassssttt....

its a good thing there are a lot of things to look forward to. sure, im terrified at the thought of graduating, working, not getting an allowance anymore (haha), and really being out there in the REAL WORLD.. but there are still some things im super excited for. like my europe trip! i SUPER CANT WAIT. this is how pathetic excited i am, i've been looking at the multiply albums of people who've been there recently! like tessa, pat hukom, etc. mainly just for me to get an idea of what i should wear and pack. haha, 8 months in advance noh?

harry potter opens today!!! and no, im not watching it yet... i'll probably drag cholo on saturday to see it with me... im so excited! but im definitely WAY more excited for book 7!! aaaaahhhhh. okay, jk rowling said two people are gonna die. my bets are... ron and snape. or lupin. or ginny. basta one of the weasleys have to die. okay this is so weird, im sounding like a major dork haha..

im SUPER appreciating my 8lb abnormal psych book a lot more these days... i realized, just the other day, that the WHOLE BOOK covers every disorder possible. eating disorders, sleeping disorders, alcohol and drugs, etc. galing... anyway we took up stress-related disorders yesterday, and lo and behold, i discovered i suffer from one. adjustment disorder. damn. hello summer 2007? moral of the story: its really just a matter of dealing with the crap life throws your way. in mrs eala's words, 'shit happens. clean up.'

my good friend kritzia santos recently packed her bags and decided to be a missionary for a year, living abroad and being stripped of luxuries that she's so used to back home, and she's restricted on things like using her phone and going online. basically, she can contact her family and friends, but only for a few hours every week..

i honestly believe that wisdom comes with age. haha it sounds sad and cliche-ish but thats how i feel. im turning 21 on friday (haha, feel na feel!), and im happy to say that i've FINALLY, REALLY realized who my true friends are.

aside from cholo, my high school barkada, and some of my college blockmates (who i can really talk and vent to), im just so thankful for the friends i've met through days. grabe, when i go through crap, theyre the ones i run to. karla, tims, kring and ree especially. i love you guys thanks for ALWAYS, ALWAYS being there.

special mention to bianx, tessa and hasna. three people i know i can run to for anything at all, at any time of the day. and of course, karla. five years of telling her absolutely everything, and she's still there to listen to me rant and vent! i love you sis

pocholo naman, im glad he's my bestest best friend. i have a lot of best friends, but of course he's the one who really has to put up with all my drama. and my tears. and my frustrations. thank you so much babe

JULY 19, thursday

technically, my birthday weekend started out as early as thursday evening, when cholo came over after-dinner so that we could wait up for 12 midnight together. the really sad thing about it was that i was falling asleep at 11pm palang! haha nahahalata ang age.. eeeww. but seriously, i was sooooo sleepy and i napped for around 20 minutes, until cholo woke me up coz it was around 15 minutes to go nalang.

AND THEN 12 midnight finally came and .. tada! i officially became legal as hash said, i can now gamble and get married without parental consent. haha. watch me try! just kidding

i also got a sooooprise from pocholo.. the pink lc wallet i've been lusting after for weeks! awwwww, sweet thanks so much baby! i got so excited to use it that i got my wallet agad and made lipat the contents, right then and there.

texts (and some calls) from my closest friends started coming in din, which kept me up till about 2am but it was my birthday! of course i didnt care haha thanks so much guys!!!! i love everyone who remembered

JULY 20, friday

cholo told me that he'd be calling to wake me up at 6, since my class was at 8 so imagine my surprise when i woke up to a 'baby, go out' text

aww, i had a bouquet of flowers and a very cute (but sleepy) boyfriend waiting for me outside my front door another sooooprise! haha.. thanks boo! it was a great way to start my day HAPPY THIRD ANNIVERSARY!!!

had to go to class (which wasnt as long as it usually is) and it was fun, with people greeting me and all. of course i love being the center of attention, which is why i SUPER love my birthday. wheeeeee..

met up with mommy and camille after, and i was with cholo na. then carlo came too and we had a family (minus mikko) lunch at amici. yuuuuuuum. went GELATO crazy, and cholo was inhaling the pizza and the italian sausage. as usual, we stuffed ourselves silly until we couldnt move anymore. special day naman eh, so no counting of calories allowed!

went to shang after and, (losers that we are) watched harry potter a week and a half later than the rest of the world it was good, way better than everyone's been saying. i've been told by different people that its not good daw, and that its dragging, etc. but i personally think it was galing. a lot of things werent explained though.. still, it was entertaining. cho chang, youre sooooo irritating! why does everything you say seem to come out like a question? argh. everytime she would talk, i'd literally cringe.

walked around after. window-shopped a bit, but there didnt seem to be anything that interesting.. oh well.

after, we ate again. dinner at tender bob's yum yum. pocholo and his steak that seemed ENORMOUS.. that he finished of course. when does mr chubby cheeks NOT finish his food? kidding babe.

ate, talked, and ate some more. then we went home to my house and prayed the rosary, since we didnt get to go to mass during the day.

it was, over-all, a great day thank you to EVERYONE who went out of their way to greet and make me feel special i super appreciate it, i love you guys!!!

JULY 21, saturday -- JULY 22, sunday

saturday was party day but i also had my learning and cognition class in the morning.. which extended :S the prof decided to keep us until around 1pm, to make-up for the time when he didnt come to class. argh. talk about hassle. we also had a 2hour-long 'quiz' (it was more like a long test), that was all in essay form. and i studied the parts of the brain, and its functions etc., thinking that the quiz would be purely indentification. uhhh, thank you for the extra work. i shouldve just read and absorbed it, rather than commit everything to memory. lesson learned.

after, cholo picked me up and we did some last minute party errands. then we went home and my mother was stressing over small details like the beer bottles and all. plus the helpers were already cooking so i just decided to nap. on the living room couch. seriously. haha i was literally sprawled on the sofa, like a little kid with nowhere else to sleep. good thing no one came over coz i looked really kawawa haha.

got ready around 6, then we fixed the clubhouse and then... the first visitors came! early birds ha, haha. 8pm on the dot! karla, miggy and chris looked super funny, parang excited na excited mag-party. haha, thanks so much for coming early guys. got to talk to karl din and im happy she's okay na then tims came, and one by one people started coming too.

highlights of my night were:

-the cupcake + messages surprise! thank you karla and tims it was super unexpected and i love how when i left for a while, you guys fixed na agad. it was so pretty when the candles were lit I LOVED IT.
-being with my barkada (minus bianx and mike ) who all came! yes, even christine who came past 12 na. i loooooooove you guys. tessa - step away from the happy juice! haha minamanyak ni paps ha! smoooooooochie galore
-seeing three of my true light 7 babies awwwwww. i love mela, kitkat and noelle.
-those from bilog who came, even if it was late na. thanks so much guys! last to leave haha hindi pa inubos yung beer, nagtira pa! sayang..
-elya bear and the stuffed dog from kitkat & mela LOVE IT. and of course, the best gift ever -- lingerie from mommy alex!!! NAUGHTY MOMMY hahaha

yeay, my party went well naman. i REALLY, SUPER thought the food/beer/drinks would be kulang. hello, there were 2 pyrexes of pasta left, plus beer and drinks pa. guys naman, you hardly ate! haha. but it was sooooo much fun. i expected a lot more to come, but 30+ wasnt bad. at least it was intimate that way, and i got to hang out with everyone (well, kinda).

and yes, THANKFULLY, people who i didnt want to be there, didnt show up. it turned out to be a happy birthday party after all

clean-up with the helpers and pocholo was at 3am but i still wasnt low batt or anything. guess i was high from all the loooooove. haha. THANK YOU GUYS for making my 21st fuuuuuuuun.

after 5 straight hours of reading, i FINALLY FINISHED book 7.

WHOA. galing jk rowling, i honestly dont know where you get all of this from. haha.

there were some dragging parts but over-all, i enjoyed the book. closure for everything. and a lot of fuzzy things became clearer. like the thing about aunt petunia.

and so, after 7 books, its finally done.

got a lot done this weekend, and at the same time, also missed out on some things it sucks because most times i wish i could just split my body and get to go everywhere and do everything that i have to..

missed out on dlsu dwtl (sorry chax, tims) which i really wanted to staff for.. but on the bright side i got to work on my ab psych report for tuesday. also, cholo and i got to watch the simpsons movie yesterday, something he's been bugging me about since the trailer came out haha. we were able to hear mass, just the two of us, something we havent done in months i missed that.. so yeah, it was definitely a good saturday

this week's gonna be BUSY. midterms are next week, and this week marks the beginning of my three-week long HELL week period. HOME STRETCH, tums. i cant wait to graduaaaaaaaaaate.

side kuwento: i was watching the 2007 mtv movie awards this afternoon, and ohmygod SHIA LEBOUF you are sooooo hot. damn. now i regret not watching transformers. serves me right for turning it down, thinking it was a guy macho movie that would put me to sleep.

~ where did numbers 19 and 20 go?? haha. after school, either went to someone's house, made tambay somewhere, or went straight home. NO TO STUDYING, even on unit test weeks! haha

~ at all those retreats, recollections, etc.

23. Did you bring your cellphone toschool?
~ haha yeah. there was even a time that cellphones were legal! first few months of first year, until they decided to cancel that priveledge. pfffft.

24. Did you log on to Friendster when in the computer lab?
~ back when we had computer classes, candymag's teentalk palang uso but we had a computer in our classroom, and we'd all check our friendster pages there.

~ yup, lab classes. mount olympus in 4th year was what made me pass physics lab! copying from my groupmates/seatmates haha

~ everyone pretty much brought their own food, but in 3rd and 4th year, gel would eat my baon, and we'd all eat diane's food..

27. Anu-ano naman ang dinadala mong gamit?
~ even back then, i'd have EVERYTHING in my bag. but what i loved the most were my binders (which i changed every year) and i had all these skating, dance, gymnastics pictures in it. plus pictures of me and my friends, family, etc. haha. helped ease the boredom during all those double periods!
