wooooooow. i cant believe the year is already about to end!! 2008 was great.. a bit on the uneventful side, but great nonetheless. it was a year of zero drama, and zero issues. THANK GOD

okay, im getting off topic again.

back to christmas. i love that its gotten colder and the days have seemed shorter. the hard part though is getting out of bed in the mornings, just coz it feels so good to sleep in and pretend that you dont have to get up. i love the christmas season!

okay, so i havent even started thinking of gifts yet.. BUT i have started shopping for myself and this year im gonna be more frugal and smarter about gift decisions. no more of those on-a-whim purchases, and 'bargain' shopping. bring on the christmas parties!! im chickie-free this year hahaha

i cant wait for 2009!! its gonna be a great year, i can feel it! here's to making the most out of the last two months of the year

1. my insomnia may be due to the fact that for the past few nights i have been doing the following things before going to bed: eating chocolates. drinking iced tea. thinking of too many things i shouldnt be thinking about YET. HAHAHA

after 4 sleepless, insomnia-induced nights, i FINALLY got to sleep for a good 7 or so hours.

now i understand why sleep-deprived people are cranky, look like theyre about to keel over any second, and are prone to fighting/hitting/attacking anyone and everyone that gets in their way.

i never want to have to go through that EVER AGAIN. lying in bed for 4-5 hours just willing myself to fall asleep already?? ugh. not fun.

if one of my favorite parts of the days weekend is when we all sing 'shalom' on sunday, one of my favorite parts of the anniv mass is when we all say 'BIL' together. it really makes you realize that that Jess brings everyone closer, that He's bigger than all of us put together, and that the Days family is just that, a family. a family that gets bigger every year (and ultimately makes the world smaller, if you know what i mean)

i dont know if this has anything to do with the rain, but downloading GG episode 10 is bugging the hell out of me because its been SO FREAKING SLOW.

my mom just came home from spending the whole morning on a cruise ship, and she wants to take me with her the next time she goes, which is in 2 weeks. no the ship doesnt go anywhere, its just docked on some port and you can tour the ship, and have lunch, and just spend the day there. the cool thing is its not open to just anyone, its by invitation and you dont even have to pay to get on it! im seriously thinking of taking her up on her offer, if only just to see how great it really is in person (because the pictures are beautiful). besides, im not really doing anything so why not right?

cholo's nursing boards are in 17 days and he's been extra grumpy lately.. especially since aside from review classes, he also has work to worry about.

and because im such an understanding and supportive girlfriend (and believe me, i tell myself this over and over again just to keep myself sane haha), i have remained patient even when he's being a grouch, have been malambing when he needs attention, and have been extra, extra, EXTRA understanding even when we dont get to see each other or go on dates anymore..

GG episode 10 was... sakto lang. jenny's being a major brat and believe me, i know major brattiness when i see it. stop naaaaaaaa. its like the dan-serena storyline, theyre dragging it on waaaaay longer than it should be. oh, and mr. hall of clueless is still alive!

i love how season 2 has been about showing why chuck is the way he is, it just makes him so much more.. appealing. whoohoo. more blair-chuck storylines please!!

yesterday, cholo took me out and we finally, FINALLY went on a proper date (something we havent done in the longest time, thanks to his review classes and irregular work hours). we: braved the payday crowds and went shopping, ended up buying his 'everyday' jacket that we debated A LOT on, also ended up buying me my SUPER PRETTY adidas jacket (thank you Jess for paydays!!) that i CANNOT WAIT to wear, satisfied my sisig craving and had dinner at gerry's, went around some more and added stuff to our christmas lists, debated whether or not to watch the bond movie and decided to just stay in coffee bean where we had the yummiest toblerone cheesecake (and i dont even like cheesecake!) and i pigged out even more, this time on their yummy herb linguine. yum.

it was just such a good afternoon-evening, made even happier by the fact that we had just sorta fought the night before and spending time together made us realize that the only reason i got mad was coz i missed him. believe me, it may not make sense to you but it sure makes sense to us! i know i sound whiny, but i really cant wait for him to get through the boards and have time for himself (and for me!) again. i miss my baby huhuhu

but i really cant wait to wear my new jacket! i super love it, thank you boo

that was one of the most stressful, most tiring, hottest (as in pinakamainit) experiences OF MY LIFE. BUUUUUUUT as soon as chris brown made his entrance (upside down, i might add!), all stress, hunger, fatigue, thirstiness, and exhaustion, magically disappeared.

i was really looking forward to watching (and singing along, and dancing) with my friends, just coz we've been planning this for weeks now. by some weird twist of fate though, cholo and i were there early (uhhh... at 5pm, yes im serious!) and we somehow got a ticket upgrade that landed us in gold, even if our tickets were only silver! how it happened, we still don't know. so there we were, going crazy and calling everyone to come early so they could stay with us BUUUUUT... wala. everyone we knew came late. and so.. we watched alone. just the two of us. which was fun in its own way, considering i had my very own bodyguard who made it his personal mission to make sure i was comfortable, not being trampled on by those irritating people squeezing past, not sweating like a pig, and that i had a clear view of the stage. and when i was dancing, he was dancing along with me. which he doesnt really like doing, just coz he gets conscious of people watching him. so yeah, i had fun watching with cholo thanks for a great time babe! and thanks for treating me

my favorite parts of the chris brown half of the concent were: his AMAZING entrance, 'say goodbye', the michael jackson medley!!, all those times he would stop and then just smile at the audience (he's so pacute, i swear), the part when he took off his shirt!!!!!, and of course, 'with you'. cholo always, always tells me that that's his song for me, so when it was sung, he kept hugging and kissing me (which was really sweet, but also really sticky because it was just so humid! haha).

because our feet/legs/dry throats were killing us, we were seriously considering not staying for the rihanna part anymore. thank god we stayed though, because rihanna's HOT. ano ba, she's not the thinnest person but she manages to look good even in the skimpy-est leotard! im so jealous. i wanted to cover her up though, everytime she'd be dancing and would open her legs.

the 6 hours (im not even kidding) spent standing up, the P75 rootbeer (because they ran out of water in our section), the annoying people who kept holding up their cameras making it impossible for us to have a clear view of the stage, and yes, even the stress brought about by wearing the wrong shoes and being all paranoid about getting stepped on, WERE ALL MADE WORTH IT BY CHRIS BROWN. aaaaaaah i love youuuuuuu!!!

that was a good concert. mark my words, if and when JT comes to manila (and if its gonna be in the fort again), i am so not gonna be hinayang to spend on a platinum ticket!!! and im bringing a chair in with me. and a 6-hour supply of water and food.

i just realized that i havent been able to watch the last few episodes of lipgloss! my saturday afternoons have been so busy, and the coming ones will have me out of the house and away from a tv too.. boo im so sad, i miss all my linden high friends. hahaha, okay im half serious

when cholo and i were in high street last weekend, we saw sam concepcion and i was going crazy and saying that i wanted a picture with him (which cholo vetoed, considering it was only sam concepcion and asking for a picture wouldve been a bit embarassing). then cholo does this thing he always does, which is shout the person's name and act all innocent when the person does look, something he only usually does when this random person is in a jersey or whatever (like if the person's wearing a beckham jersey, cholo will suddenly start shouting, 'david! david!' sheesh). so there we were, in the middle of high street, when cholo starts calling 'kyle! kyle!'. oh my god, i wanted to diieeeee. he's so embarassing!!!!

had my hair cut today, my last before the wedding. nothing drastic, just had my layers (??) evened out and the ends trimmed. wouldve loved to stay longer and have some more things done (like my nails!!)

i love going to the parlor and catching up on all the hollywood chi-chis (timmy's term!) through tabloids and foreign magazines. angelina jolie's new arm tattoo looks so good! its weird if you dont know what it stands for though, it'll just seem like random letters and numbers that she had stenciled on her body. i still wanna get a tat done! maybe one day, when i finally decide that the pain is all worth it.

im SO happy we watched on opening day!! good job tims!! and im thankful i watched with my girlfriends, just coz i was able to share my kilig-ness everytime edward would come on screen. karla and i were clutching each other and squealing everytime they'd kiss, or hug, or even just talk, basta all the scenes where they'd be sweet. whoohoo.

for a book-to-film movie, i thought they did a great job of giving it (the book) justice. in my opinion, no important parts were omitted and all important characters were present so yes, i am one satisfied twilight fan. i know a lot of people feel disappointed, which is weird coz im one of those hard to please people and this time, im the one who's super exag contented with what i saw. i dont think the director took anything away from the book, and it mustve been hard to compress it all into a two-hour movie, so yes i will reiterate that i am satisfied with what i saw

NEW MOON!!!! WHOOHOO. most heart-wrenching book ever. gaaaaaaame. we made a pact last night that karla, tims, trix, camille and i would watch all 4 movies together. so it looks like camille will have a kid na, and we'll still be watching it together and screaming for edward! how sad. haha.

today was extremely SUPER DUPER awesome, that i cant even think of another, less cheesy word to describe it

cholo's boards are finally over and im happy because: (for selfish reasons) i get my boyfriend back and we can finally see each other more, and also (for unselfish reasons) cholo can now relax and this huge weight was lifted off of his shoulders. im so sure he's gonna pass, not just because i think he's the smartest person i've ever met but also because i saw how hard he worked and exerted effort for this.

to celebrate, we had lunch-slash-merienda with cholo's family, and then went crazy and braved the christmas-season-and-Bonifacio-day-and-long-weekend crowds of megamall, shangri-la AND greenhills. it was good coz we got to window shop, do a bit of christmas shopping (FOR OURSELVES, take note), unwind, stuff our faces, spend time together, and cholo finally got to relax after so many months of attending review classes and balancing studying with work.

so hooray for the nursing boards of nov 2008!! here's to the lingering, unavoidable, gut-wrenching tension until the results finally come out in feb! yahoooooo
