beach countdown = 18 days. POSTED AT 01:19 PM my mom comes home today and i'd have to say that the past (parent-less) weekend has been.. well, its been fun. tiring too. saturday night i had my barkada over for dinner & drinks, and it was interesting just coz i've never entertained at home without my mom around. which means i had to search high and low for things (yes apparently, i dont know my way around my own kitchen) by myself. well not really by myself. pocholo was a big help since he took on the role of host too haha. in fact, i'd have to say he was even more helpful (and useful!) than i was, and its funny coz he seems to know his way around my house more than i do! good job, babe. and my barkada is great, just coz we're all so comfortable with each other, and theyre already so at home anyway that they were helping themselves in the kitchen and they even helped clean up. good job, loves. over-all it was a great night as usual, with the mandatory scandalous kuwentos, and shrieking, and laughing. not much camwhoring, surprisingly. "we're really getting old" seems to apply itself to everything i've been doing lately.. ***** FINALLY finished shopping for the beach. i'm poorer (not broke though haha.. not YET anyway!), but im happy. shopping never fails to make me a happy, happy little girl. but damn, why is it that everything seems to be getting even more expensive?? im cost-cutting this year by recycling bikinis for lu. the horror. i hate multiply/facebook for making it impossible to repeat outfits. cholo and i discovered a new, cheap boardshorts store! we went nuts yesterday. i also found really, really cute flip flops but im cost-cutting as well by just borrowing from the havaianas queen herself. 2 danced with me!

im consoling myself by watching (re-watching, actually) old movies. can i just say that 'my father, the hero' will forever be one of my all-time favorites? katherine heigl was hotter when she was younger. and she was also so thin back then! i love beach-y, summer movies.April 14th, 2009

POSTED AT 08:17 PM IMSOBORED. i really, really, really am. i have resorted to 'stalking' even the non-stalk worthy people on facebook. the highlight of my day was window shopping this morning, and believe me it took A LOT of willpower NOT to spend on anything. huhuhu i wanna shop! i was halfway to the cashier when i was reminded of how UNEMPLOYED i am, and how much money nalang i have left huhuhu. so i did the mature thing (which was to think of all the shopping trips i've already gone on these past couple of weeks) and walked out of the store. ohhhhhhhh the pain of having to resist shopping ***** another parent-less weekend coming up.. my mom has gone on more out-of-town trips with her friends this summer than i have! unfair. so friends, just let me know if you wanna come over this weekend k? |

beach countdown = 8 days. POSTED AT 10:32 PM today was..... well, it was a day in the life of a job-hunter. okay not really, considering im not job-hunting as much as i should be. anyway, it was so mentally draining that i feel bad for those who had to go through all of it and didnt even make the cut-off in the end. so yes, im mayabang just coz I made the cut-off haha. thank You, Jess. im still unsure of where i really want to work, but at least i have options right? ***** im so sad about this weekend's scrapped plans daaaaaaym. oh well. we shall make our own fun, right here in manila. right tims? haha. we're so sad. ***** lately, Pocholo's been offering to buy me a dog. i think he just wants a "baby" haha, something we'll be able to share and take care of (he wants to get me a terrier.) ***** we leave in a week and a day! im excited. i want lots and lots and lots of beach time. i dont understand people who go all the way to the beach and decide to swim in the hotel pool.. kinda defeats the whole purpose of going all the way there, right? on second thought, who am i to talk. i go all the way to the beach.. to wade. its weird but i've been dreaming of puka grande's garlic shrimps (hello pocholo!). i've actually been dreaming of it for, oh around 3 years now. since we last had it, which was back in 2006. i dont know why we didnt eat there last year. i cant wait! |

5 days. POSTED AT 10:00 PM so its been a really good week so far. cholo had his first day of work at his new, beeyotiful office, i passed the pre-employment tests of a company that im seriously considering working for, i spent an afternoon-night with my friends ("garage sale-ing", playing taboo, coming up with money-making schemes AND that hilarious few minutes that only tims and rai get), i got to spend time with my days kids and catch up on ALL the kuwentos, and finally (FINALLY!), im headed to the beach! whoohoo. life is GOOOOOD. thank you, Jess. here's to an amazing weekend! and to a great, great week coming up. i think i already need to decide what to bring and finally pack on sunday monday. haha |
